The word Shiatsu in japanise means fingers pressure:

“shi” finger and “atsu” pressure  指圧

Shiatsu is an art for the health of Japanese origin that has its roots in philosophy and Traditional Chinese Medicine.

Health depends on the individual's ability to resonate with the world around us and their lifestyle.

The practice of applying pressure on the body, to increase the well-being, has ancient origins in China. In the sixth century A.D. Buddhism was introduced to Japan and with it philosophy, Chinese culture and the art of finger pressure (amna).

During the centuries shiatsu has had several transformations and only in the twentieth century, Shiatsu, as we know it today, has taken shape and substance.

ZEN SHIATSU

The Shiatsu that I practice is based on the style and the teachings of Shizuto Masunaga (1915-1981), who graduated in psychology, has reintroduced shiatsu in a more psychological frame.

According to Masunaga meridian, in addition to being an energy channel, it plays a vital role and is constantly changing and is expressed at different levels:

Physical (bones, muscles, tissues, organs);

Mental (thoughts, ideas and concepts);

Emotional (feelings emotions, experiences);

Spiritual (who we are, our origins, our path in this life).

Shiatsu improves the quality of life because you can improve your mental and physical condition. It 'an opportunity to enjoy a moment for themselves and for our well-being!

"A happy life is synonymous with health" (Masunaga)
